No response yet on the engine bolts. However it turns out that Alistair has done 100 or so laps of the Nurburgring with an engine mount bolt missing and other random items so it probably does not matter that much! I would like to know though......... Letter from Mazda confirming the date of manufacture of the original car in Nov 1991 so I wrote back and asked about the engine itself as the authorities insist that that is proven to avoid the catalyst horror. Ordered fuel pump and ancillaries from Demon Tweeks and had first call with the new Fisher people regarding a radiator and mounts. They seem very willing and helpful. Also spoke, at their suggestion, with Cyanacars who build an MX5 version of the Phoenix regarding the clutch switch to trigger the ECU but they had no idea as they use another ECU. Seems they have not had much luck with their version of the car so far but also build machinery for industry so are not in too much difficulty.
