MX5 Fisher Fury build diary

Despite the snow this morning the weather brightened up. The lights for the car had arrived so I went down and cut out the headlight section of the bonnet to accept the headlight "cans" so that the bonnet can then go and be painted. It took quite a while because I was very worried about cutting too much and having nothing to fix the lights onto. When we were fitting the bonnet we cut these partly to enable us to reach through and position the bonnet but the consequence was that there was no centre point to refer to. However after much measuring it seems OK.

I also trimmed the air intake surround, looked to see how easy it may be to fit the new expansion tank and played with the seat to see how I might fix it in position. I was also astonished when Fisher asked £75.00 each for the removable covers so I'll have a little think first.
