More communication problems with Fisher / KCW over last fortnight. Sent off a cheque for front springs. No reply / parts. Lower wishbone fitting Sherpa track rod end won’t go all the way in either. No info on Panhard rod. Spoke to David Bell in the end – it appears Martin has had a serious illness, subdural haemorrhage which is a leakage in the skull between bone and brain. Not a stroke but bad enough. My problems pretty minor! Then three days before Xmas the KCW website goes down. Now what? The Fisher site is OK and I know Martin wants to trade as Fisher so probably they are just letting one fade away. But no one answers the phone now!
Anyway today I had a ball. Got the steering column extension fitted then trial fitted the Sierra column itself. I’ve got an adjustable column and it needs to sit upside down. Vague memories from another site of that (David Bradley) so research needed.

Then I fitted the two brake master cylinders on the bulkhead and attached them to the bias bar brake pedal assembly – see photo left.
Two problems. I cannot see how the handbrake cable fits – David Bradley’s site may be best guide here, and I stripped the thread on the long bolt I bought for attaching the Panhard rod.
Alistair says that he wants to sell his MX5 engine and gearbox to me, so that he can upgrade. Sounds OK so long as it does not leak oil, which it does just now!
