When I was with the car on Sunday I measured roughly the height of the headlight position since one or two people had mentioned that the car is almost too low for the rules. The Fisher book says one thing but recent articles in the kit car press said another. The "other" was promulgated by one of the big kit manufacturers as being the rule but their interpretation would be impossible for the Fury - too high. I posted a note on the Sylva chat list and after a lot of views, and some decent encouragement, Andy Wallis said as a builder he himself ought to know but was now unclear so was phoning the relevant Govt. dept. Turned out that fortunately Mark Fisher was right all along and he wrote to confirm as well. Rob Collingridge wrote in to say that the inspector did not even check his!
