The Engine Loom comes to Life!

Amazement! After an hour or so fabricating and fitting a strap to hold the windscreen wiper motor in place Nev turned up. I fitted the FIA battery isolator switch, more as an electrical safety cut out than anything else, then completed the battery leads and earths, where the great long redundant Mazda battery lead came in very useful and was cut into practical short lengths. Nev came back and had a look then suggested we make up a fusible link between battery and earth to see if anything was shorting out when the ignition circuit came on. Position 1 OK. Position 2 OK. Position 3 she turned over! All those hours of weeding out the extraneous Mazda circuits and the general doubt from other Mazda engine users, other than Justin, then siamesing in the Premier Loom and the Rover parts. We were so delighted we had to have a cup of coffee then try it again. I had to pack up then and head home, which was very difficult because now we need an earth to the fuel pump (easy now I know), plug in the ECU, a little bit of unleaded and see if we get a spark!
