Having been a way a while I took a couple of half days to go down to Oakhanger. I was even more impressed with the bonnet than I had imagined possible. It looks as if it was always meant to be that shape and the finish is smooth. One of Neville's neighbours on the small industrial estate had said that he is superb with fibreglass and this is probably as good as it gets! The first thing I did was to drill and fit the windscreen washer nozzles to suit the planned sweep of the wipers, and to mount and wire in the washer bottle and pump.

Nev had started on the dashboard blank while I was away and I took with me the Vapor digital speedo etc, warning light strip and the round fuel and oil pressure gauges I had bought from Europa spares. He's made a removable panel so that instruments can be changed going forward and so I had to get the holes ready, pre-drill it etc.
