Reading “totalkitcar” last night found a little advert for www.stagonset.co.uk who supply stainless nuts, bolts etc. Great site and unlike the “tifosi” site you can see and choose really easily. Placed an order for various items including long nut and bolt per Fisher build manual and narrow dia. washers to try to solve Panhard Rod problem, and wrote an order to Fisher for the two front springs I’m still missing. I’m also going to try another seemingly easy to use site, Namrick at www.namrick.co.uk for some high tensile nuts etc and see how they compare.
Between church and lunch fitted the new steering rack then started trial fitting the nearside hub and steering link. The original replacement Chevette knuckles are not perfect but the “replacement replacements” that slide in easily have a hole in the wrong place so I’ll stick with the imperfectly painted ones.
Best decision I made recently was to look at Laszlo Tistyan’s build website. In the Fisher website link it says this is in Hungarian and so I bypassed it. But I think Fisher massively understates how easy to use his photo “Galeria” section is and in fact each sub-section has an English header so you cannot go wrong. http://kitcar.hu/ Don’t ignore it!
