Got the rear Spax dampers and springs fitted, bolted loosely. Put the back axle onto the stands and had to “bounce” the car. Very satisfying. Offside coil spring fouled the axle where new bracket welded on so bought a grinding stone and ground it back. Upper offside damper mount very narrow and won’t allow nut and washer, just nut. Nearside perfect.
Still struggling with Panhard rod mount to chassis due to clearance and am thinking to buy a piece of steel tube about 1” and similarly longer UNF bolt to pack ou
t beyond the frame.
Grinder does not seem to be doing the job.
