10th September
Riveted the passenger forward outer side – easy with new tools.
Then decided to get at the mechanicals. Bought a torque wrench – wow they are not cheap! Immediately flummoxed by lack of guidelines in Nut & Bolt kit from KCW – lots of numbers on packs but what are they for?? Must e-mail Martin. However one was marked suspension and by reference to build manual, Fisher photo library (that is such a useful back up) and David Elliston’s site got front done. Only hold up was chassis powder coat had reduced the size of the bolt holes but a few seconds with a little round file fixed that. Even remembered to put the spacer washers at the front on the upper for SVA self centering test.
I can’t do back suspension until I get axle rebuilt. Reply from Premier Wiring today so will phone a.m. before going to Lyon.
