Alistair came home on his way to the Nurburgring for the weekend so we went down to Neville’s to see progress and collect the propshaft. The engine is now in on its mounts which look great. The gearbox is properly braced on a mount, the clutch pedal, clutch cylinder, brake light switch and bias bar have been modified and the passenger foot-well front panel cut and refitted. Further back, the handbrake has been refitted and the cable rerouted. It’s lots of work that I could never have done. We measured the engine height on the other Fury in the workshop and it seems to be the same height as mine but wider. We may have to cut the bonnet about a bit but it’s close. Neville is going to re-weld the Panhard rod mount, fit a steering column that does not twist, re-do the steering column to rack joint, fit the water pump, new cambelt and……….
