13th May

I spent a lot of time worrying through the manuals and drawings and on the phone regarding the electrics. So long as I can get the female sockets that fit the engine and gearbox components I can use any other type of connectors for the wiring junctions. The clutch switch is needed by the ECU so I expect that if I fit a brake light switch into the circuit I'll be OK. I'll need to get connectors etc and I've seen how the copper pipe is routed in a wide radius double circle on the MX5 to allow for the sideways engine and gearbox movement. I also need gearbox neutral and reverse light switches. The ECU arrived without a plug or even a few inches of cables - I thought they were to be attached so I'll e-mail the vendor. The airflow meter and air filter are great and came from the same seller.
