
On the left you can see how the fuel pipes emulate the MX5 routing, on the right side the inlet pipe and the other being the return. I'll P-clip them to the pedal box on the extreme left and the chassis rail below the column.
In the two pictures below you can see how the pump, filter and pipes worked out at the rear of the car. I've taped the pipes in place for now.


The brass-coloured can is the filter - it's not cleanable but the alternate from Demon Tweeks was nearly 10 times the price! Alistair, viewing progress, rightly points out that servicing pump and filter will be a bear once the body and panelling is in place. I'm not sure about that because the tunnel top will be fixed by Rivnuts so I should be able to reach round from there. Right now I don't really care because my hands are so sore, but in the cold light of day next weekend, or whenever I get back to the car, I may have to think about making the rearmost panels removable or accept that fixing the fuel system might, in extremis, mean dropping the back axle. And why not?
