Got back to find a message that the body is ready, the engine build date confirmed by Mazda, the additional heat shield panel that I want to go between the exhaust and the passenger side ready to be dispatched. Letter from DVLA saying that the wrecked Mini was not notified to them by the insurance co as written off and here is a penalty and fine! Cloudy but warm so great for outdoor building. Granny H had very sweetly delivered a special bush (garden not suspension) for me so I decided to plant it quickly and get building. And I was reminded of a few errands and chores that needed doing as well. Being useless at gardening I carefully removed the turf where the plant is to go and, as predicted by Alistair at lunch, found a solid concrete base underneath. Being useless at garden planning too, I decide that the plant must go there, the concrete needs breaking up and then the grass needs tidying up and cutting. Alistair looked out of his window as I wielded the sledge hammer with one of those expressions my children use now that they are older - pity mixed with worry about the parental state of mind. Anyway I finished just in time to remember that I am taking Catherine out. Might just as well leave the car until tomorrow.
