Back to panelling after all this time. I fitted the aluminium double skin that is not part of the chassis spec but which others say is essential to avoid frying the passenger. Amazing how skills come back -pencil in the cut lines, snip the ally, clamp in place, mark the drill holes, punch a mark and drill! Where the crash protection has been welded on I drilled from the inside and will bolt in place there. All that remains is to file and sand the rough edges and rivet / bolt in place. Since the purpose is heat reflection I'm not having this panel coated. Anyway it will be hidden under the side pod.
