It's been a while since I added anything due to work travel and holidays. I've now got the engine loom fairly well sorted out and labelled. I've found the circuit opening relay too in the bottom of the box of bits so in theory all the key components are there. There is still no clutch switch and I don't want to fit the purge canister etc. I opened the Premier Wiring loom pack next and found all sorts of useful stuff. Although I'll only use this for the lights / wipers / etc etc it has a crimping tool and lots of connectors and relays. The Haynes Sierra manual is so comprehensive the wiring diagrams are tiny but if I persist I can generally find which one goes where and added to that the help from the guide Premier use is OK. Now I can connect the Sierra ignition barrel wires to the Mazda corresponding wires - theoretically. I've joined the MX5Nutz forum to see what pitfalls I may hit when I get up the courage to connect a battery!
